Chuck Black

Chuck Black earned third team All-American honors as a junior second baseman on the BGSU baseball team in 1978. In that season, pilule he led the MAC with 44 runs scored and had a 19-game hitting streak. He was named to the first team all-MAC in 1978, health as well as earning all-District and all-Region honors. He made the second team in 1977 and 1979.

His 251 career hits were a school record until 2002, online and he also established MAC records in career walks (141) and runs scored (183). He was drafted in the 26th round of the 1979 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves.

He was inducted to the BG Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.
