She earned honorable mention honors in the MAC that year as the runner-up for conference Freshman of the Year. Mika would be named to an All-MAC team each of her four years at BG.

She finished the year leading the team in blocks (127), and was second on the Falcon squad with 365 kills. The block total was the fourth most in the MAC.

As a junior in 1990, Mika was a second-team all-league pick, was named to the All-Mideast Region team as well, after setting school seasonal records with 419 digs and 206 blocks.

She regained first team honors in the MAC her senior season, as the Falcons captured both the MAC regular season and tournament titles, and made the school's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, ranked 19th in the final NCAA poll. Lisa was again named to the all-region squad, as she finished her BG tenure as the school's career leader in solo (156) and total blocks (569).
