The first BG softball player inducted to the BG Athletic Hall of Fame, Amy Lienhardt's name can still be found all over the Bowling Green record book. She ended her career holding 14 Falcon records and six MAC records, many of which still stand. In 1988, Lienhardt was named to the All-Region first team, and the All-American second team, the first Falcon to achieve that honor. She was also named the MAC Player of the Year that season, in addition to her second nomination for the All-MAC first team, and first team Academic All-American honors.

That season, she posted school records in at bats (189), hits (83), runs (57), triples (10), home runs (5), total bases (126), slugging percentage (.667) and batting average (.439). She also destroyed her stolen base record from the year before (34), swiping 53 bases in her senior year. Her 121 career steals and 152 runs are also school records.

She was inducted to the BG Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.
