Dewey Johnson Print E-mail
A gifted four-sport athlete, Dewey Johnson never played a down of football at Edgerton High School. But when he took over as fullback on the Bowling Green team, he quickly became a star. Leading the Falcons in rushing all three years, Johnson was named to the All-Ohio Conference team his senior year of 1941. He also captained the 1941 basketball team, pitched and played first base on the baseball team, and ran track during his senior year.

After graduation, Johnson took a job coaching football at Swanton High School in northwest Ohio before settling in Bryan, Ohio as the owner and manager of an industrial firm there.

He was inducted to the BG Athletic Hall of Fame in 1968.
